For example, when a magnet falls through the copper tube, the magnetic field surrounding the magnet is constantly changing positions. This changing of the magnetic field induces (forces) the flow of eddy currents 9circular electric currents) in the tube. The eddy currents create their own magnetic field that 'pushes' against the falling magnet and opposes (repels) the magnet's fall. The result of this magnetic repulsion is a slowly falling magnet. This demonstration is quite counter-intuitive and it appears as a fascinating magic trick. With this kit you can perform 11 experiments.
