Join our team!
As you may know, PhysLink.com is a result of a creative effort of a number of volunteers and physics and astronomy enthusiasts. We are always welcoming new volunteers, editors and contributors.
As a volunteer you will not receive any pay for your work. However, you may end up with something that is even more rewarding: experience, a chance to be associated with one of the top web sites on the net, seeing your picture and biography on PhysLink.com, a letter of recommendation for your resume, and more.
Also, each of our volunteers receives a PhysLink.com Volunteer Package (PVP) at the end of a successful 6 month service. The PVP includes an official PhysLink.com shirt, pens, stationary, organizer, and more.

Available Positions:
- Link Manager for following pages:
Astronomy, history, new theories, grad advisor, images, societies, journals, companies, societies, journals, companies
This position entails existing link checking once a month, adding new categories, sub-categories and links. Surfing the web and knowing what web sites are the best and should be listed in your pages is the major activity for this position.
- Editor/Contributor for editorials, cover page stories and essays:
Here you would be in charge of finding, writing, editing editorials and essays on physics and astronomy topics. If it is an existing essay or a story you wish to put on PhysLink, you would be in charge of asking the original authors and/or copyright holders for permissions to post their work and formatting it for publishing on the web. This position is quite flexible; you can be involved on regular basis (weekly) or contribute once in a while (two, three times a year)
- Editor/Contributor for the reference pages:
Your primary function here would be to locate, verify and format for publishing physics and astronomy reference materials that will be added to the reference pages of PhysLink.com. Adding new categories, new information sources (books, journal articles, web sites, etc.), checking credibility of these sources, etc. would be your primary task. This could include expanding our existing physics glossary, physical constants data, unit conversion tools, etc.
- Fun Master - editor/contributor for the fun pages
This sure is the most fun of all positions here. Basically, your job would be to locate and add fun stuff (jokes, cartoons, etc.) to our physics and astronomy fun pages. There are no limits here!
- Teacher Club Manager
PhysLink.com has an active club of over 1,000 high-school physics and science teachers. Club includes a weekly newsletter and an online discussion forum. Your job would be to basically run the show: recruit new teachers, verify their credentials and add them to the club, gather content these teachers would benefit from and help build the whole community. High-school teacher and/or someone genuinely interested in education is preferred for this position.
- Online Forums Moderator
Simply become involved in one or several of our online discussion forums. Watch over users, remove abusive users and messages, stimulate discussions, contribute, organize topics, etc. This position requires logging in 2-3 times per week to check on things.
- Graphics and Multimedia Editor
Duties: producing drawings, diagrams, visual aids, videos and other multimedia to enhance physics and astronomy material found at PhysLink.com. Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and/or other drawing and photo editing packages is required for this position.
