The Physics and Astronomy Department at Franklin and Marshall College invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in experimental physics at the rank of Assistant Professor starting in the '03-'04 academic year.

Candidates must hold the Ph.D. and demonstrate substantial commitment to undergraduate physics teaching, as well as to participation in the College's interdisciplinary general education program 'Foundations',   A vigorous research program that can involve students in publishable work is also required.  Start-up funds to establish a research lab are available.

A complete application must include curriculum vitae, statement of teaching philosophy, research plans including a preliminary budget and description of possible student projects, and copies of both graduate & undergraduate transcripts.
