We seek candidates with a record of independent research and accomplishment who have the potential to become leaders in the field. The successful candidate's research program could be in the analysis of astronomical data for cosmologically significant results, in optical and/or near-infrared observational techniques for cosmology, or in cosmological simulations. The candidate may also participate in the sensor R&D for the LSST in a joint effort by the Physics Department and the BNL Instrumentation Division.
Applications should be received by March 1, 2008 to be given fullest consideration. However, applications will be accepted until the positions are filled. The appointments will begin in September 2008, or sooner.
