SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER

II.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Represent Pacific Scientific in providing a technical interface for program execution on commercial airplane programs.
  • Specific activities include:
  • Define system requirements
  • Trade study development
  • Technical expertise to integration of mechanical systems and controls
  • Technical direction and guidance to the broader Pacific Scientific engineering team
  • Document and manage the expectations of internal and external customers
  • Handle multiple priorities with minimum supervision
  • May coordinate the work of engineers within the Integrated Product Team.
  • May be required to locate to customer sites during project definition phase

  • To support the technical aspects of aerospace systems for development phases
  • The various skills and resources required and how to apply them to result in a successful product
  • To write component requirements and manage suppliers

    For Systems Conceptualization:

  • Translate preliminary customer requirements into defined systems and architectures for evaluation
  • To determine interaction of elements within the systems
  • Solve systems issues during development or integration testing at the customer

    III.RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Reports directly to the Director of Engineering or Engineering Manager or Vice President of Engineering or Program Manager.
  • Works with the Design Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, Production personnel, Sales and Marketing personnel, Buyers and Planners
  • Works with suppliers and contractors to find needed processes, supplies and equipment
  • Works with customer to agree on definition of interfaces and equipment configuration

    IV.MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE:

  • Internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Key project performance indicators
  • Performance against Danaher yearly performance review
  • Accuracy and timeliness in processing documentation

    V.BACKGROUND AND SKILLS:

  • Have a Bachelor’s engineering degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Aerospace or higher
  • Have a minimum of 3 to 5 years system or component design and development experience
  • Knowledge of fire protection systems is highly desirable.
  • Aerospace control systems development process and component knowledge
