Research Areas:
The Institute is a research institution of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. It takes part in higher education in association with the University of Debrecen. Main research areas are: Particle, nuclear and atomic physics; condensed matter; environmental studies; isotope geochemistry and dating; applied physics.
Facilities:
MGC20E cyclotron with isotope production facilities; 5 MeV and 1,5 MeV electrostatic accelerators; high intensity ECR ion source; high prec. electron spectrometers, mass spectrometers etc.
